Full Explanation
Card counting is a blackjack strategy where players track the ratio of high to low cards remaining in the deck to determine when the odds favour the player. The Hi-Lo system assigns +1 to cards 2-6, 0 to 7-9, and -1 to 10-Ace. A high positive 'running count' indicates more high cards remain, favouring the player. While not illegal, casinos can ban card counters and use multiple decks and continuous shuffling machines to counter the technique. Card counting is impossible in online blackjack because virtual games shuffle after every hand. It remains theoretically possible in live dealer blackjack but is impractical due to frequent shuffling.
💡 Example
Running count of +8 with 2 decks left = true count of +4 — increase your bet significantly.
