    Push (Tie)

When player and dealer have the same hand total — bet returned.

    Full Explanation

A push occurs in blackjack when the player and dealer have the same hand total. In a push, the player's bet is returned — no win, no loss. Pushes occur approximately 8-9% of the time in standard blackjack. Some house rules treat pushes differently: in some Asian variants, ties may favour the dealer. At most South African online casinos, a push returns your full bet. Understanding push frequency is important for bankroll management — while pushes don't cost you money, they don't generate wins either, effectively extending your session without changing your bankroll.

    💡 Example

You have 19, dealer has 19. Push — your R200 bet is returned to your balance.
