Mega Moolah (2018)
The world record for largest online slot jackpot. While won by a European player, this Microgaming progressive is available at SA casinos like Springbok and Betway. The jackpot seeds at €1 million and has produced dozens of millionaires.
Mega Fortune (2013)
NetEnt's luxury-themed progressive held the record for years. A Finnish player turned a 25-cent bet into millions. The game features three progressive tiers — Rapid, Major, and Mega.
Hall of Gods (2015)
Another NetEnt progressive featuring Norse mythology. Known for producing regular millionaires with a bonus game that determines jackpot size through shield selection.
SA-Specific Big Wins
South African players have won significant amounts at both local and international online casinos. Springbok Casino, Thunderbolt Casino, and Yebo Casino have all reported six and seven-figure wins in ZAR. Their RTG-powered progressive slots regularly produce jackpots exceeding R1 million.
Betway and Hollywoodbets regularly celebrate big sports betting wins from SA punters, with accumulator bets occasionally producing payouts exceeding R500,000 from small stakes. The Spina Zonke slots on Hollywoodbets have also produced notable local winners.

Responsible Big-Win Chasing
While big wins make headlines, remember that they're extremely rare. Progressive jackpots have odds comparable to lottery wins. The house edge applies to every spin, and no strategy can guarantee a jackpot.
If you enjoy chasing big wins, set a strict budget, play progressive slots with small bets to maximise your number of chances, and never gamble money you can't afford to lose. The dream is exciting, but responsible play should always come first.
