Extra Chilli Megaways Review

Game Overview

Extra Chilli is Big Time Gaming's fiery sequel to Bonanza, the slot that introduced the Megaways mechanic. Featuring up to 117,649 ways to win and the popular Feature Drop bonus-buy mechanic, Extra Chilli takes everything that made Bonanza great and adds more spice — literally. The Mexican street food theme is vibrant and colourful, with chilli peppers, enchiladas, and piñatas decorating the reels.

The Megaways engine randomly generates 2-7 symbols per reel on every spin, creating a dynamic playing field that changes constantly. The additional horizontal reel beneath the main grid adds extra winning potential. Cascading wins remove winning symbols and drop new ones in, creating chain reactions that build an unlimited multiplier during free spins — the core mechanic that makes Extra Chilli so explosive.

At 96.82% RTP (with Feature Drop), Extra Chilli offers one of the highest RTPs in the Megaways family. This, combined with the unlimited win multiplier during free spins, creates a slot with genuinely life-changing win potential for those willing to ride the high volatility.

Free Spins & Gamble Feature

Land 3+ scatter symbols to trigger free spins. You start with 8 spins but can gamble for more — up to 24 free spins total. This gamble feature is a high-risk, high-reward decision: each gamble doubles your spins but risks losing them all. Most experienced players target 12-16 spins as the sweet spot between risk and reward.

During free spins, an unlimited win multiplier increases with every cascade. This is where Extra Chilli's magic happens — a long cascade chain in the first few spins can build a massive multiplier that supercharges every subsequent win. The combination of the Megaways mechanic creating numerous winning combinations and an escalating multiplier creates explosive win potential exceeding 20,000x your stake.
