    Ante-Post Betting

Betting on an event well before it takes place.

    Full Explanation

Ante-post betting (also called futures betting) involves placing bets on events well in advance — days, weeks, or even months before they happen. Common ante-post markets include Premier League winner, PSL champion, World Cup outright, Durban July winner, and Grand Slam tennis winners. Ante-post odds are typically higher than pre-match odds because of the increased uncertainty. However, if your selection withdraws or doesn't participate, your stake may be lost (non-runner, no bet rules vary). Ante-post betting rewards early identification of value and deep knowledge of the sport.

    💡 Example

Back Mamelodi Sundowns to win the PSL at 2.50 in August — odds shorten to 1.40 by December.
