    Freeroll

Tournament with no entry fee but real prizes.

    Full Explanation

A freeroll is a tournament or competition that requires no entry fee but awards real money or prizes to winners. Freerolls are common in online poker (free tournaments with real prize pools) and are also offered by some casinos as slot or table game tournaments. They're an excellent way for new players to build a bankroll without risking any money. Freerolls typically have smaller prize pools than buy-in tournaments and attract large fields, meaning the odds of winning are lower. Some freerolls are open to all players while others require VIP status or an invitation. South African poker sites and casinos regularly schedule freeroll events.

    💡 Example

Enter a free daily poker tournament with a R5,000 prize pool — no buy-in required.
