Game Overview
San Quentin xWays by Nolimit City holds the record for one of the highest max win potentials in any online slot — a staggering 150,000x your stake. Set in the infamous San Quentin prison, this extreme-volatility slot uses xWays, xNudge, and Enhancer Cells mechanics to create massive win potential. The Lockdown Spins feature with its escalating levels can transform into the ultra-rare Lockdown 2 mode where the truly astronomical wins live. The gritty prison artwork, intense soundtrack, and controversial theme have made this a cult favourite among high-volatility slot enthusiasts worldwide.
xWays & xNudge Mechanics
The xWays mechanic places mystery symbols that reveal 2-4 identical symbols, dynamically expanding the ways to win well beyond the base 243. The xNudge wild is a full-reel wild with an increasing multiplier — each nudge it makes to fit on-screen adds 1x to its multiplier value. When an xNudge wild needs to nudge 3 positions, it carries a 4x multiplier. Multiple xNudge wilds on the same spin multiply together, creating the mathematical foundation for the 150,000x maximum. Enhancer Cells sit above and below the reels, adding random features like extra wilds, multipliers, or xWays symbols to specific positions.
Lockdown Spins
The Lockdown Spins bonus is a multi-level escalating feature. Level 1 begins with standard free spins enhanced by xWays and xNudge. Collecting key symbols during the bonus can upgrade you to Lockdown 2, where every reel can hold xNudge wilds with multipliers that persist and grow throughout the feature. It's in Lockdown 2 where the 150,000x wins theoretically live — multiple persistent xNudge wilds with stacked multipliers create once-in-a-lifetime payout combinations.
