Game Overview
Sardine Surge by Push Gaming captures the annual KwaZulu-Natal sardine run — one of nature's greatest spectacles where billions of sardines migrate along the South African coast, pursued by dolphins, sharks, whales, and diving birds. This 6×5 cluster pay slot uses a unique "School Formation" mechanic where sardine symbols automatically cluster together, and when a predator symbol lands adjacent to the school, the entire formation converts to wilds. The underwater visuals are stunning — shimmering sardine shoals, sunlight piercing through blue water, and dramatic predator attack animations make this a visual feast.
School Formation & Predators
Sardine symbols cluster adjacently into schools of 3-20 fish. When a predator lands next to a school, the entire school converts to wild. Three predator types offer different multipliers: Dolphins (2x), Sharks (3x), and Cape Gannets (5x). During Feeding Frenzy Free Spins (8 spins), predators appear more frequently and schools form with a minimum of 5 sardines. The Bait Ball mechanic triggers when 15+ sardines form a single school — all predators on screen attack simultaneously, stacking their multipliers for devastating combined payouts.
