    Free Bet

A bet placed with bookmaker funds rather than your own.

    Full Explanation

A free bet is a promotional wager funded by the bookmaker, not your own money. If it wins, you typically receive the profit but not the stake back. Free bets are commonly offered as part of welcome promotions, loyalty rewards, or special event promotions. South African sportsbooks regularly offer free bets ranging from R25 to R1,000 for new sign-ups and major sporting events.

    💡 Example

R250 free bet on the Durban July. Horse wins at 5.00 odds → you receive R1,000 profit (not the R250 stake).
